Lanificio Bottoli Scacco Matto grey checked plaid in merino wool
Throw in pure virgin merino wool, hand-fringed, with vegetable dyeing. The checkerboard pattern, proposed in shades of grey, is characteristic and always classic, that's why the name of the style is named Scacco Matto, literally checkmate. Note that the print is perfectly mirrored: the right side matches the left; the top side with the bottom side. Light but very warm blanket. Thanks to the organic properties of wool it is able to thermoregulate the body and humidity levels.
Pure wool also has unparalleled resistance and durability over time. A wool fiber can be folded on itself up to 20,000 times without breaking, unlike 3,000 times for cotton and 2,000 times for silk. Wool is also naturally repellent to dirt and bad smells, so it does not require frequent washing.
Composition: 100% virgin merino wool
Size: 160cm X 175cm
Lanificio Bottoli (Bottoli Wool Mill) is based in Vittorio Veneto, in the medieval district of Serravalle, a thriving commercial hub under the Republic of Venice. The wool mill has kept intact over the centuries the quality and refinement typical of Venetian craftsmanship. In fact, Bottoli uses only raw materials such as cashmere and superior quality merino wool. It has also chosen a vertical production line and promotes environmental sustainability. Not surprisingly, Bottoli was among the first Italian wool mills to use wool in the color of the sheep's fleece only and dyes of vegetable origin. The constant search for new fabrics and the enhancement of raw materials are the very soul of the company, its strong, unbreakable identity.
