PABIS-PTC material in bison leather paired with polyethylene

Carol Christian Poell has made research into materials, fabrics and leather his strong point. In the leather sector, CCP creates avant-garde shapes by hand working bison leather, kangaroo leather, horse leather and cordovan, calf leather... The CCP leather jackets and parkas are characterized by the one-piece dyeing in tanning barrels, only after the tailoring procedure has been completed (and therefore as a "finished garment"). In this case the material is PABIS-PTC which is bison leather coupled with polyethylene to make it look as paper.
Even in leather garments, such as this white bison parka for women by CCP, the seams perforating the leather remain clearly visible over the entire garment. The inner seams, on the other hand, undergo a gumming process by applying a very thin semi-transparent rubber tape.

Carol Christian Poell is an Austrian designer, who after finishing his studies in fashion design in Italy , decided to create and produce in Milan. The debut took place in 1995, when he released the first of his collections, which are all characterized by a complex use of materials and particular construction techniques. Thanks to its extravagant installations and to his artistic talent, he has been able to become over the years one of the leading figures in the avant-garde fashion world. The brand CCP is excellent craftsmanship, classy extravagance and peculiarity merged together.
